Fabrice Mazliah’s 2nd opus in the Salle des Nymphéas is a composition woven from a past inherent to his own body and the body of a second performer. As in order to explore the countless possible reinterpretations and assemblages in complicit, playful fashion, Fabrice Mazliah has invited Cyril Baldy, with whom he has collaborated on a number of high-profile occasions, at the William Forsythe’s Ballet Frankfurt and the Forsythe Company and within the Hood collective fellowship at PACT Zollverein.

These two partners in performance share a pronounced taste for transmission and pedagogy and have both developed highly personal forms of dance through their choreographies. For this creation, the duo works in complex layers, in constructed, playful and virtuoso fashion, practicing an intimate, memorial archaeology. Reinventing the relationship with dance and the audience, and the relationship between language and movement, the architecture of spaces and bodies and, above all, the imagination of things not present, is Mazliah’s way of giving meaning to movement.
